1. Which IRN-BRU packs feature in the BRU-SKIES promotion?

BRUSKIES special packs are available across the following IRN-BRU pack formats: 2L bottles (IRN-BRU & Sugar Free), 500ml bottles (IRN-BRU & Sugar Free), 8x330ml Can Multipacks (IRN-BRU & Sugar Free), 24x330ml Can Multipacks (IRN-BRU & Sugar Free).

2. How do I enter the BRU-SKIES promotion to see if I have won?

For a chance to win CASH or BRU-SHADES simply:

  1. Buy a promotional pack of IRN-BRU featuring the promotion on the front
  2. Find your unique 8-digit alphanumeric code on the reverse of your label or ring pull
  3. Visit www.irnbru.co.uk/bruskies and submit your unique code to see if you've won!
  4. If you're a CASH winner, you will be immediately notified by an on-screen message. If you haven't won CASH you will be automatically entered into our daily draw to win a pair of BRU-SHADES.

3. If I don't enter my code between 17th June 2013 and Midnight on 31st August 2013, does my entry count?

If you enter your code outside the main promotional period, i.e. after midnight on 31st August 2013 and before 28th February 2015, your code will be automatically entered into the Additional Draw which takes place at midnight on 28th February 2015. See FAQs question 9 for more information on the Additional Draw. All codes must be entered before midnight on 28th February 2015 to be eligible.

4. What personal information is required to enter?

When registering for the promotion, you will be required to provide information including your First Name, Last Name, and Email Address. If you win either a CASH prize or BRU-SHADES you will be required to enter your postal address. In the event that the specified information is not provided, the entry will be considered incomplete and therefore invalid.

5. Why do I need an email address to enter?

Your email address is required as part of the registration process, so that confirmation of your awarded prize and details on how to claim it can be sent to you if you are a winner! You must ensure that your email is valid and contactable for the duration of the promotion. In the event that an entrant's email address becomes inaccessible during the promotion, we are not able to retrieve and amend any existing entries to a new email address. AG Barr respects your privacy and any information entered will only be used for the purpose of carrying out this promotion. A copy of the AG Barr Privacy Policy is available on the website. 6. Why do I need a postal address to claim my prize?

You need to provide your full postal address if you win CASH or BRU-SHADES so that you can claim your prize. We will post your prize to the postal address which you supply. AG Barr respects your privacy and any information entered will only be used for the purpose of carrying out this promotion. A copy of the AG Barr Privacy Policy is available on the website. 7. Do I have to be of a certain age to enter?

Yes, you must be 18 years of age or over to register on the website and participate in the promotion.

8. Who is eligible to enter?

The promotion is open to UK, Isle of Man, Channel Islands or the Republic of Ireland residents aged 18 and over only excluding employees of AG Barr and their immediate families, their agents and anyone professionally associated with the promotion. We may require any information that we consider reasonably necessary in order to verify your eligibility.

9. No Purchase Necessary Route (Northern Ireland residents only)

A No Purchase Necessary (NPN) entry route is available to Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland consumers only. These consumers may request a unique code by sending a letter with their name, date of birth, email address and postal address to 'BRU-SKIES Promotion, P O Box 3, Diss, Norfolk, IP98 1HH, UK'. Please note that consumers may only submit one entry per day during the Main Promotion Period and thirty entries in total during the Additional Draw Period if they enter using the No Purchase Necessary route. Entries sent through trade, consumer groups, agents, syndicates or 3rd parties will not be accepted.

10. How long will the promotion last?

BRU-SKIES promotional packs will be available in store from 17th June 2013. The final date to enter the main promotion is 31st August 2013 at midnight. Consumers who enter after the closing date but before 28th February 2015 will be automatically entered into the Additional Draw.

The prizes available for the Additional Draw taking place at midnight on 28th February 2015 will be:

  • 5 prizes of £100 (€100)
  • 15 prizes of £10 (€10)
  • 50 prizes of a pair of BRU-SHADES

If you are a winner in the Additional Draw, we will email you within 2 working days of the Additional Draw being held.

11. What prizes can be won in this promotion?

The following prizes are available to be won every day during the Main Promotion Period:

  • 5 prizes of £100 (€100)
  • 15 prizes of £10 (€10)
  • 100 prizes of a pair of BRU-SHADES

The prizes available for the Additional Draw will be:

  • 5 prizes of £100 (€100)
  • 15 prizes of £10 (€10)

12. I get an error when I enter my code

Please check the following:

  • Codes are case sensitive and must be entered exactly as they appear in the pack
  • Each code is unique and can only be used once

13. I can't find my code/my pack doesn't have a code

Your code should be found on the reverse of the label or ring pull of your promotional bottle or can. It is an 8 digit code of both letters and numbers.

When requesting a replacement code via email, please include your full name, postal address and preferred email address (if different to the one used to submit the request) within the email. A replacement code will be sent to you within 28 days after the request has been received. Any replacement code requests must be received by 28.01.15, to ensure that the request can be processed ahead of the promotion closing date. Please note: for all replacement code requests individuals will be asked to send in their original faulty pack (via a freepost address as advised in the email you receive). Responsibility cannot be accepted for codes that cannot be read due to the way the pack has been opened.

14. How many times can I enter my code?

Each unique code can only be entered once and will expire upon use. Repeatedly trying to enter the same code or using promotional codes not intended for use in this promotion may result in disqualification and any prizes you have won will be declared void.

15. I entered my code incorrectly, what do I do?

You can try to enter it again, please see FAQs question 12 above for common errors.

16. How do I know if I have won a CASH prize?

If you submit a valid entry for the Main Promotion, you will immediately receive an on-screen pop-up message containing one of the following images:

  • A sun: This means that you've won the cash prize inside the sun. You will be immediately required to provide us with your postal address which you must do. Your cheque will then be sent out to the address you provided within 28 days.
  • BRU-SHADES: This means that you've been entered into that day's draw to win a pair of BRU-SHADES! If you are picked from the draw, we will notify you by email within 2 working days of it being held. Our email will contain a link to a secure page. You will be required to click that link and insert your postal address where indicated within 28 days of receiving our email.

17. How are winners selected for CASH prizes and BRU-SHADES?

All our prizes are awarded on a random basis. The winners of our cash prizes are selected using a system known as Winning Moments. Winning Moments is a secure, independently verified computer program which allocates a winning time to each cash prize each day. The winner is the person who enters at the time of the winning moment. If no-one enters at the time of the winning moment, the winner is the first person who enters after the time of the winning moment.

The winners of our BRU-SHADES are selected by a prize draw which is conducted for us at midnight every day by an independent third party.

18. What do I do if my BRU-SHADES arrive faulty or there is a problem with my cheque?

If you're BRU-SHADES arrive faulty, please email bruskies@arkhgroup.co.uk. You will be emailed back and asked to post the faulty pair back to the address supplied. If we agree that you are eligible to receive another pair, we will post these out within 28 days of receiving your faulty pair.

19. What do I do if my cheque or BRU-SHADES don't arrive within 28 days of me providing my postal address?

If you're a winner and you don't receive your cheque or BRU-SHADES within 28 days or providing your postal address, please email bruskies@arkhgroup.co.uk. We may require your name, date of birth, email address, postal address and your email, stating that you have won in order to trace your prize.

20. What is a website Cookie?

A Cookie is a small string of text that is stored on your PC's hard disk, unless you delete it (or it expires). It is not a computer program, and cannot harm the data on your PC.

21. How do I know when I have received a Cookie?

You need to switch on the 'Alert before accepting Cookies' option in your browser.

22. Should I switch on the 'Alert before accepting Cookies' option in my browser?

It's up to you. However, increasingly sites are using more and more Cookies that expire when you switch off your browser; it can become tiresome to see so many alerts.

23. What are Cookies for?

Cookies have two functions. The first is to 'maintain state of an application'. Basically, this means that each time you come back to a site, you begin where you left off. For instance, you may only need to register to enter a site once. The second function is to track your path through the website.

24. Why are Cookies used to track where I go on the website?

Tracking your path can help the site provider optimise the site based on popular paths or pages. You may feel that this knowledge of your use - the site provider could set up a profile of your particular habits - is an unwelcome intrusion into your privacy. However, bear in mind that no personally identifiable data is being collected.

25. What is AG Barr's policy on the use of Cookies?

Firstly, we never pass statistical data on to 3rd parties. All AG Barr sites that use Cookies explain what use we are putting them to, please refer to the ‘AG Barr Internet Privacy Policy' for more information.

26. Should I delete Cookies?

Again, it's up to you. If you feel that Cookies are an intrusion into your privacy, delete them. However, we recommend that you do not delete them. This will usually decrease your access to useful information on subsequent visits to the site.

27. Can Cookies be stolen from my PC?

No. The information stored on your PC will only be transmitted to the server that sent them in the first place.

28. How do I delete Cookies?

Go to your Cookies folder, usually called 'Cookies' on your hard drive (C:\windows\cookies, for example), select them and delete them in the normal way.

AG Barr's Internet Privacy Policy

AG Barr does not sell, rent or otherwise make available any personal data submitted by visitors to our site to any third parties. This information is understood by us to mean your name, address, telephone/fax number and email address. This information will not be sed for any direct marketing or unsolicited follow-up unless we have previously informed you of this possible use and you have given us your express permission when submitting it. With your permission, AG Barr will use this information for such purposes as:

  • Sending you paper publications or other correspondence
  • Sending you email press releases or notification
  • Delivering goods or prizes

AG Barr does make use of non-personally identifiable statistical information (browser type, geographical location, age, gender) for optimisation of our sites as part of our continual internal review process and in a general way to learn more about the consumers of our products. This information will not be disclosed to third parties by AG Barr.

This data will only be used for the stated purpose, and will not be used for any unsolicited communication unless you give us permission. This is solely to tailor our sites to suit your needs better.
